Celebrating 40 Years of Impact: Salmon’s Moving Supports the 2025 Rotary Ride for Hearing

Supporting the 2025 Rotary Ride for Hearing: 40 Years of Community Impact

The Rotary Ride for Hearing returns on June 29, 2025, marking its 40th anniversary—a major milestone for one of British Columbia’s most impactful fundraising events. Salmon’s Moving and Storage is honored to once again support this incredible cause, continuing our deep tradition of community involvement and charitable giving.

Why Supporting the Rotary Ride for Hearing Matters

For four decades, the Rotary Ride for Hearing has brought together riders, volunteers, and sponsors to raise vital funds for hearing-related programs throughout British Columbia. The event supports organizations such as:

  • The Rotary Hearing and Balance Clinic at St. Paul’s Hospital

  • The BC Hearing Resource Centre

  • The Children’s Hearing and Speech Centre

  • And many other essential programs for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

In 2024, the ride raised over $152,000 with 175 riders participating. This year, the goal is even more ambitious—$400,000—to continue expanding life-changing programs and services.

Salmon’s Moving: A Longstanding Partner in the Ride

Salmon’s Moving and Storage has proudly partnered with the Rotary Ride for Hearing for many years, providing essential logistical support before, during, and after the event. Our team contributes by:

  • Transporting gear and materials using our fleet of trucks

  • Offering storage solutions throughout the year

  • Ensuring smooth operations from setup to takedown

This hands-on support reflects our ongoing dedication to both exceptional moving services and meaningful community contributions.

Mark Hirschi: Riding for a Cause

Our very own Mark Hirschi, owner of Salmon’s Moving and Storage, takes his commitment a step further—riding in the event each year alongside hundreds of passionate participants. Mark’s involvement helps raise awareness and directly contributes to the cause, demonstrating leadership and heart both on and off the bike.

“It’s more than just a ride—it’s about giving people the ability to hear, connect, and thrive,” says Mark.
