Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I wanted to hire a Canadian company for my move from Hillsboro, OR to Canada in 2020 and I came across Salmon's Transfer LTD. I spoke to one of their team members, had a pretty good idea of how they work, fees, customs clearance and storage policies and procedures on Canadian side and I decided to move forward with them. I had two face-time phone calls with Anne Brand (International Move Manager) to see the place, volume of the items they will need to pack and type of boxes their team will need for packing. Those calls really helped both Salmon's and myself in order to understand which items are not allowed in the truck due to government regulations. On the US side, they have partnered with Suddath movers and storage company. Their team came over to our place in Hillsboro and it took a team of 3 members about 6-7 hours and they did meticulous job in packing each and every single item in our one-bedroom apartment. Every item was packed with thick and good quality paper, labeled very well. A final copy was handed to us as well at the end of the packing for all the items loaded into their truck. Once the truck was loaded, it was handed over to Salmon's Transfer LTD on the Canadian side who cleared the customs at the POE on my behalf as I filled and signed a form that gives them authority to clear any of my items which went smooth and no items were touched at all. Salmon's Transfer did a phenomenal job in storing all of our items at their temperature controlled storage facility in Richmond, BC. All my items were stored for 15 months while I was still in the states. Once I moved to Calgary, scheduled a delivery date with Anne Brand to my 3 bedroom town-home and was easy to do that part and very prompt as well. On the day of the delivery, two members unloaded all my items inside the town-home, they unwrapped all of items one by one, assembled our IKEA bed as well which is not easy to assemble once you disassemble them. They removed all the wrappers and loaded them back into the truck, not leaving any trash behind. Both the team members (can't recall their names) were very professional, took their own time to unload without rushing and placed the items wherever they were told to leave. Out of all the items, just a single coffee cup had a small crack and chipped while it was unwrapped and that's not to complain about, rather to stay that Salmon's Transfer LTD stored our items in a meticulous way. A copy of all the paperwork done was handed to me, communication from the first stage till final delivery point was very professional and on-par. I had a single point of contact who was Anne Brand for any issues or inquiries.
